Coffee Roasting behaviour.
UN MODE DE VIE
Perfectionner son art de la torréfaction chaque jour

How does it work?
1 Paddle. 2 tools.
SEEING
The Paddle Roaster and its precision ruler allows 6 coffee bean samples through the final phase of your roasting.

The colorimetric ruler has 8 expertly calibrated color levels, which represents each of the 8 distinct roasting steps from the first "crack" to the most intense roasting level, know as "dark roast".

The ruler is a visual mark that illustrates the colorimetric evolution of the beans during their roasting process.
SMELLING
An expert coffee roaster knows when their coffee are ready just by smelling the beans.

The Paddle Roaster allows you to easily achieve that same level of expertise. You will be able to smell the beans at note of the coffee roasting process, enabling you to optimize the roasting profiles of your coffee.
TESTING
When the roasting phase is complete, it's time to test coffees through a cup tasting.

Each of the 6 sampling zones allows for 14 grams of coffee beans, the ideal amount for organizing a Brazilian cupping.

After this degustation, taste the 6 samples and choose the best roasting profile for your coffee.
LEARNING
Paddle Roaster is also supplied with an educational ruler with 8 graduated colors, allowing you to follow the coffee beans evolution from green coffee beans color to a bold dark roast.

This ruler will serve as an educational training tool and will allow you to explain the visual and olfactory transformation of coffee during roasting.

Seeing and feeling are two key elements of coffee roasting magic that will be able to share with your customers.

ABOUT
Finding the best roasting profiles of your coffees is an art mastered by eye, nose and taste! Paddle Roaster was created by a passionate French roaster who tried to find a tool that would enable him to obtain the ideal identity of each coffee he sourced and received each day in his workshop.

During customer demonstrations, he also used to explain the colorimetric evolution of the coffee beans by showing its "green" first blush, and its different aspects through the coffee roasting process. At that moment, he organized these animations with a wooden board, then on a painter palette to finally create this new tool named Paddle Roaster.

This tool broken down into 6 zones of sampling and 1 reference zone. It comes with 2 rulers, one to find the best roasting profile of your coffees and other for pedagogical purposes.
